Pre-call training - Pre-call training in the Republic of Azerbaijan is held in general education, primary vocational and secondary special education institutions for the purpose of acquiring initial knowledge in the field of defense, training for military service and military patriotic education.
The citizens of pre-call age are being trained before the call to actual military service, with the aim of giving them basic knowledge of defense, without leaving the education. Teaching this subject is done by the head of the pre-call training.
Physical training programs of citizens and conscripts of pre-call age, lists of sports aimed at ensuring this training are determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Apart from the physical training carried out at the educational institutions as provided by the Article 9.1 of the Law “On military position and military Service”, ensuring the physical training of citizens is carried out on the basis of contracts concluded between the State Service for Mobilization and Military Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the physical education and sports organizations.
Training of citizens for special military specialties - Citizens and conscripts who have reached the age of 17 may be trained on special military specialties at educational institutions defined by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan by leaving workplaces.
The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Border Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Special State Protection Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan determine the list of special military specialties and prepares the training program and makes orders for the training of citizens under the age of 17 and conscripts. The number of citizens who have reached the age of 17 and the number of conscripts to be trained on these specialties is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Workplace, position and average salary on workplace of the citizens involved in pre-call training with leaving their place of work are kept, as well as expenses for going and coming from place of training are paid.
The local departments, divisions and subdivisions of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan informs workplace and the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription of the Republic of Azerbaijan about the absence of citizens attending pre-call training (exercises).
