The call for the active military service from the Agsu region was held under the motto "I'm ready for the defence of the homeland!"
The event, organized jointly by the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription and the Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan, was attended by representatives of the executive power of Aghsu region, community members, and veterans of the war in Karabakh.
Participants of the event first visited the statue of national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers at the monument. The conscripts visited the Heydar Aliyev Center and viewed the rich corners and exhibitions of the Great Leader's life, political and statehood heritage.
The event began with the performance of the State Hymn. The memory of the martyrs died for the independence and territorial integrity of our Republic were commemorated with a minute of silence.
Head of the Aghsu Region Executive Power Office Anvar Seyidaliyev congratulated the youth on their way to military service and wished them to return to their natives as a victorious soldier.
Colonel Niyaz Mammadov, Chief of the Office of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, spoke about the achievements made in the country in the recent years, the education of young people in the military-patriotic spirit and the works done to improve the quality of pre-conscription training.
Colonel-lieutenant Nizami Heybatov, head of the Agsu region branch of the Service, expressed his confidence that the young people who were sent to the military service today would be courageous, brave and worthy soldiers of our army.
Representative of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation Ramil Mammadov spoke about the youth policy implemented in our country and congratulated the conscripts on their way to the real military service.
Emin Hasanli, Chairman of the Youth Enlightenment Public Union of Demobilised Military men, Shahin Rahmanli, General Secretary of “Ireli” Public Union, veterans of war and parents advised young people to become a worthy soldier of the Motherland, stay vigilant in the protection of our lands and perfectly master the secrets of the war.
The conscripts said they were proud to go to serve their Motherland, saying that their greatest dreams were to liberate our occupied lands from the enemy's presence.
In the artistic part of the event, Shamistan Alizamanli, a performer of patriotic songs, performed a concert. A composition was performed by the schoolchildren of Agsu city.
Then young people passed under the flag of Azerbaijan and sent to military units with special buses allocated for them.
