The ceremony of sending conscripted young men for real military service in was held in Imishli and Gazakh regions.
The conscripts were seen-off by the personnel from the regional branches of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription (SSMC), representatives of regional executive authorities, agencies and organizations, law enforcement agencies, intellectuals, educators, as well as elders, war veterans, parents, youth and media workers.
Participants and conscripts of the event in Imishli region first commemorated the national leader Heydar Aliyev by placing flowers in front of his monument.
The ceremony was commemorated with a minute's silence for the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of our country. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Speaking at the event, the head of Imishli Regional Executive Power, William Hajiyev, congratulated the conscripts on their departure to the military service. He said that their combat skills, spiritual and psychological training are at a high level.
Lieutenant-Colonel Gulu Asadov, the head of the Imishli Regional Department of the SSMC spoke about the patriotism of Azerbaijani youth and their enthusiastic departure for the termed military service.
On behalf of the parents, Abulfat Zeynalli said he was proud of sending his son for military service and wished the conscripts to finish their military service as a victorious soldier.
Speaking on behalf of the conscripts Elvin Mamedov said he was proud to serve in the ranks of the mighty Azerbaijani Armed Forces. He promised that he would fulfill his sacred duty to serve the country.
Speaking at the event in Gazakh region, Head of Executive Power Office Rejep Babashov said that under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, our dynamically developing country has strengthened in the military sphere.
The chief of the Gazakh regional department of the SSMC, Major Mehman Rahimov, said that young people in the region facing the enemy were eager to join the military. He advised the conscripts to be strong, to be bellicose, to gain deep theoretical and practical knowledge in the military field.
Speaking at the event veterans, parents, intellectuals and conscripts emphasized that military service was important to the formation of young people as citizens, and that honoring an honorable Azerbaijani soldier was a source of pride for every young person.
At the end of the event continued with concert program, the young conscripts went to the army, expressing their respect for our colorful flag.
