The appeal to active military service continues pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev "On conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and transfer of military servicemen to reserve from October 1 to 30, 2019".
At the departing ceremony held on October 7, the staff of Balaken Regional Department of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription (SSMC), the employees of district executive power, offices and organizations, as well as law enforcement officers, educators, intelligentsia, elders, the veterans of Garabagh war, parents, representatives of the public, the media, cultural and art figures.
The participants of the event first visited the monument to the Nation Leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers in front of the monument.
The memory of Shehids who died for the territorial integrity of our country was recalled with a moment of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sadig Ismailov, the chief of the Balakan District Department of the SSMC congratulated the conscripts on their departure to military service and underlined the importance of the vigilance in the guard of our country and cherish the territorial integrity of our country as the apple of eye.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Sevinc Isgandarova noted the great trust of the people in the powerful Azerbaijani Armed Forces and said that they were proud to send their sons to the military.
The representatives of other State bodies and veteran organizations spoke about the military reforms under the leadership of our esteemed President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, and wished to wave our three-colored Azerbaijani flag in our occupied lands.
Speaking on behalf of the conscripts, Fuad Aliyev said that serving our Motherland was their highest duty, and promised that they would perform this task properly and justify their faith in Azerbaijani soldier.
At the end of the concert program, the draftees kissed the Azerbaijani flag and left for active military service.
