On January 15, the conscripted young men were sent off to the military service with a solemn ceremony with the participation of the staff of Masalli District Department of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription (SSMC), the representatives of the Executive Power, law enforcement agencies and members of the public, intellectuals, the elders, martyrs' family members, Garabagh ghazis and parents.
The participants of the ceremony firstly laid flowers at the monument to the Nationwide Leader Heydar Aliyev and commemorated his memory.
Speaking at the event in the Flag Square, Shahin Mammadov, the head of Masalli District Executive Power, congratulated the conscripts who are on their way to fulfill their duty to the Homeland, and their parents and relatives and talked about the successes in the process of the army-building and said that every Azerbaijani soldier and officer should deeply learn the military secrets and strive for having our martyrs' revenge.
Lieutenant-Colonel Vali Rzayev, Chief of Masalli District Department of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, presented the attention that our Armed Forces have now become the most powerful army in the region as a result of the arrangements made by Ilham Aliyev, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
Alashraf Niftiyev, Chairman of the District Council of the Elders stated that the Azerbaijani people believe in the power of our army and he expressed confidence that our occupied lands will be liberated soon and he made recommendations to young men.
Addressing at the ceremony, the parents wished the conscripts successes in the protection and defense of Azerbaijani statehood, and laid emphasis on being disciplined, being vigilant in the guard of our Homeland and decently carrying out the commanders' orders during the military service.
In their turn, the conscripts said that they will carry the name of Azerbaijani soldier honorably and gain deep knowledge on military secrets.
Art masters of Masalli Regional Department of Culture, City’s Cultural Center, National Theater, “Halay” folklore ensemble and the students of Masalli Regional State College performed songs and dances on patriotism and literary composition.
At the end of the event, the young men passed under the Azerbaijani Flag and were set out for military units with special buses provided for them.
